News — junk journal
Here's the latest journal I completed. It's not for sale at this time, it was just a project I created for myself, to wind down from working on the Fairy Garden journal class for over a month. It features a gorgeous Shakespeare book cover and printables from the Gentlemen And Scholars collection. I also infused it with vintage bits such as ticket stubs, book pages, illustrations and postage stamps as well as charming accents such as lace, fabric scraps, charms and sewing machine stitching. Mark your calendars! The first class in the EVG Journal School is coming on February 6th. I'm putting the finishing touches on the videos and other digital materials now. The class is called 'The Fairy Garden' and it's a fun and whimsical journal project. If you love nature and fairies, this course is for you! You can get more info and sign up early here. Early birds who register until February 6th will receive a $10 voucher (in CAD) for the EVG store. The class has been a real joy to create. I'd love for you to join me, Debbie xo....
These are the latest journals I created. Both have upholstery fabric on the cover and lots of details inside. The first one features images from the 'Miss Nellie' collection and the second has 'Ephemeral Garden' pages and cards.
I've started a new project! I'm going to make a junk journal collection out of my gorgeous Condensed Reader's Digest books. This will be an ongoing endeavour that will probably take a few years. Here's the first finished jj featuring 'Summer Prelude'.
Sometimes, during the creation process of a handmade journal I get attached to it. When this happens, I usually keep it for myself at least for a little while. This writing journal was a joy to make because I was able to work on it at my leisure between other projects. The cover is also a dream to look at so it was fun to return to it regularly.
